Spam Forum

Umm, I guess when everything kinda got moved back, we lost our spam forum where posts don't count, and so all those spam threads in the Humor/Puzzle place have counted posts now. =/

Well, we've had a no spam policy from the beginning so that all spam threads wouldnt have counted posts, and now it's gone because of an oversight that needs to be fixed. =|

So... should we add a new forum? Cuz like some of the stuff in humor and games isnt near as spammy as say word association.

Well at the moment even spam is welcome since the board is in need of some posting activity. I say leave it be until it becomes a problem.

That was my general thought when I was rearranging the forum. I figured we could try to get some activity going and if it gets too out of control we can add a new one.

Why not just archive and get rid of it altogether? I've only seen forums with a lot of spam because they don't do anything to prevent it in the first place (and often encourage it indirectly through other threads anyway.) If the forum has no desire for spam, why encourage it even a little with a spam forum. Even not counting the posts may not prevent spam from filling other areas of the board.

Slightly Dark seems to have gained enough critical mass that it isn't suffering a need for posts, so the spam threads could just be destroyed.
