Both games are basically ports of the PSOne/Wonderswan versions with some added extras. Final Fantasy I will contain a new part entitled Soul of Chaos. The area is a new dungeon that features bosses from other Final Fantasy titles, such as Doom Train from Final Fantasy VI. The second addition is for Final Fantasy II and is called Soul of Re-birth. The chapter features a new story expansion that explores the path of unplayable characters in the game that were killed earlier on.

I'm glad to see Square Enix releasing some regular Final Fantasy titles to the portable market, especailly in a bundled package. Nintendo apparently requested that Square Enix do Final Fantasy III, but they felt the time was not right and instead choose to do Final Fantasy I & II Advance. It was said that Final Fantasy III would be released again, simply not at this time. The same director also discussed wanting to make an original Final Fantasy GBA game as well. Here is hoping for a Final Fantasy III & IV Advance release, as well as Final Fantasy V & VI. A boy can dream.

Let's hope they are ported more to the abilites of the GBA than just lame remakes of the Wonderswan version which had no-good sound and effects.
