View Full Version : VGM Wishlists!
With the thousands of VGM albums out there everyone has their wishlists. What are some albums you'd love to get your hands on, but either cant afford or cant find?
Off the top of my head they are:
Legend of Zelda: Sound and Drama
Konami Shooting Battle 1 and 2
Dracula Battle 1 and 2
Nintendo The Legend Of ZELDA FUN HOUSE1986(:CT)unknown... (Some Rare Tape I'd really like to hear)
Any of the OGCs
Ys 4 PCs vol 1-3
I know there are more but those are some of the things that popped into my head first.

To this day I still don't have the two Actraiser discs, and that bums me out. I'd also like to score the Grandia 2 discs, the Orchestral Game Concert series, and the Estpolis 2CD set. If I think of others I'll add them to the list later.

Funny enough, those two just went on my wishlist once I heard that they are better than The Black Mages. I love it, and if they are indeed better, I must have them... :D
I'd love to have Actraiser Symphonic Suite as well!
sabbey, they are definately better. Check out the My Stuff forum and grab my ftp info. I have them in mp3. That will at least give you an idea of what they are like. The cds are going to cost you a pretty penny!

Hm, does everyone want Estopolis because of its status, rarity, and price, or because they actually like the music above so many others? Hm, I guess maybe I'd be more attached to it if I had actually played the game.
My wish list isn't really unattainable, and mostly consists of stuff I've heard, and will buy when I get around to it.
Genso Suikoden Pure Melodies - orrizonte
Gungrave
Mother 2
Napple Tale 1 & 2
Psychic Force (probably any from the series)
Rakugaki Oogaku (Scribble Kingdom - Zuntata)
Romancing Saga - La Romance
Royal Blood
Nothing that expensive, and the list changes constantly as different things come into favor.
The Dracula Battle Perfect Selection 1 & 2 and the Konami Shooting Battle Perfect Selection 1 & 2 are certainly the albums i would like to get the most.
But i'm not ready to pay the prices that sellers "normaly" ask for these and also i wouldn't get any pleasure when receiving the CDs, as i already know the music by heart.
So i'm not impatient for getting these gems (if i ever get the CDs) and there are also tons of others great albums that i'd like to get anyway.

Interesting... I mean... you're talking about getting the REAL cd's or just the mp3's? 'Cause most of them can be found on DC++'s hubs, mostly in VGM's Hub.

This whole topic is about owning the actual CDs. Nearly all of us have everything mentioned here in mp3, or as a CDR copy.
Mp3s are no problem for me to get. I have hundreds of complete albums as it is. Collecting originals is a lot of fun too!

Hmm, after the rather disappointing (for me anyway) Madara Special and Madara 2 Sound Fantasia....I guess the only out of print CDs I'm seeking are Megaten World and Shining in the Holy Ark.
You are so hard to please :P

What? A little off topic, sitorimon?
Dragon Quest SS 1-7 in all re-prints would be a great add to my shelf... I'm also looking for Shining Force III OST, La Romance, Windy Tale, Seiken Densetsu Sound Collections, Star Ocean Sound Collections and Romancing SaGa OST first edition.

Grass: If you want to buy the Dragon Quest I ~ VII Symphonic Suite reprints, just buy the Symphonic Suite Complete CD-BOX, it's got every piece of orchestrated Dragon Quest music from I ~ VII (Missing the live performances, of course), all done by the London Philharmonic (Who was the orchestra that did all the SS reprints).
It's probably cheaper too.

I thought the London Philharmonic was a live performance.
What is meant by a live performance then? With an audience?

Eh, well yeah. I don't consider the LPO orchestrations live. I consider all the "In Concert" and concert series' live. So yeah, ones in front of an audience.

That's why I am praying for a re-issue of both... ;)
As for downloading them, already did so at TuskJMF's over at GFF. Haven't had time to listen to it yet though. Going to go back and grab Snatcher Battle as well!

There's a guy selling Final Fantasy Complete Collections on Ebay over the course of about the next 3 days. They include a total of 56 CDs, including OSTs, Piano Collections, Vocal Albums, and much more. His starting price is $56 for the collection (about $74 after shipping and insurance). Sounds crazy...so I couldn't pass it up. If anybody else want to get in, look up "Final Fantasy Complete Collection Soundtracks" and I'll let you know how it went with mine.

Why do I get the feeling those won't be the original's? Well, it's Ebay... ;)

I've had pretty good luck with Ebay, but I know that it can easily happen. Considering there's a collector's box with...I have a slightly better feeling about that they're originals. But we'll see.

Those are definitely 100% completely bootleg.

Yep. Those are bootlegs. Do not buy that stuff.

I sure hope you haven't bought it.
And SephVBC, with all reprints I meant all reprints (First print, second print, third print) not just all the music contained at those prints. It is like Final Fantasy Anthology (US) and Final Fantasy III, Anthology is more stuff (CD and FFV) , but FFIII is the real thing. But thanks for the suggestion :)
