Hello there,

I'm kinda new here as you all can clearly see!
But being new does not hold me back at all!

I'm very interested in Old Skool konami games like gradius and Metal Gear (MSX version, the homecomputer on which the first Metal Gear game ever was released in 1987 (!) )

My question is about the various Gradius (including spin offs like salamander) OST's (albums)

How many albums have been released?
I've been able to catalog *most* of the gradius albums, could you please fill me in the missing ones?

Gradius II Gofer No Yabou
Gradius II Space Odyssee
Gradius III
Gradius III Symphony Poetry
Gradius IV Fukkatsu
Gradius Perfect Selection I
Gradius Perfect Selection II
Gradius Plus (GBA version???)
Gradius Suite Fantasia
MIDI Power Pro - Vol. 7 - Gradius
Salamander -Again-
Salamander II
Salamander Pro Fusion
Parodius Da!

I'm sure there are many more Gradius or related albums out there.. I own the albums that are listed by me (except Salamander -Again- )

P.S. If you have got any Questions about Gradius or any other Old Skool konami game I would kindly give you an anwser, I know a great deal about em!

Go here: www.gmronline.com
Search on "Gradius" and see if you missed any.

There isn't such album as "Gradius Plus"

As Eriol said, check GMR, you'll find all those there.
Oh, and Konami Game Music Collection Vol.1 has Gradius II [AC] in it.

That Gradius Plus thing that has been floating around is actually Gradius Gaiden. I don't know where they got the plus, and things like that sure lead to confusion.

I have these in mp3, but they don't match the tracklists that I found online. This may be because of the difference between tape and CD versions. They do sound and feel authentic, but I don't have absolute proof.

I know the abum, there's also an MSX greatest hits albums with the original PSG sounds of some very old konami games by the way (Don't remeber title)
Yes I dig them!!!!! (How did you guess?, gna gna!:D )

But I allready have got all three of them loose!
I would like to have it though for collector's sake!!!
Have you got the original or just the mp3's (Or a perfect 1:1 cd copy.. no mp3 on cd please :( )

Well anyways, I can trade you on FTP. But I haven't got a FTP server myself yet, but i'm busy upgrading my homenetwork and will incorporate an old pc (PIII) for ftp use only. It will contain 400 Gig HDD space and offcourse all my alums in mp3 format! I got a cable connection which is 756kb down/ 128kb up, so its a pretty good connection. Maybe sometime this year I'll upgrade to 1512/256... it is available for me allready.....hehehehe!

Now about the Gradius Gaiden album.. Is that the Jap GBA version of Gradius Advance? I don't actually like the music though.. not the real thing... the sound just isn't gradius anymore.. Its a pity though... Some little tunes match but it is more in style of Fukkatsu (which I thought was a bit lousy too)
Well, its just that konami has got a few new composers who make more modern music for the gradius series! Most of the time the old tunes in arranged new version really kick ass. It's a shame that those 2 albums are not upto what I expected from them.

Well, if anyone wanna trade?? tell me! I'm always interested!
I can give you a list of OST's have... But I must warn you, it mostly contains konami albums! (Dracula and so on) But I fear that most of you already posses the albums I have... :( But hey...!!

Well, I will be hearing from you then huh????????

I just have them on mp3, and not at the best bitrate either. It would probably be easiest to grab me on AIM if you still want them, or perhaps send a PM and we'll continue from there.

I've listened to Gradius 3 and Salamander Pro Fusion. They're two great examples of why Konami music can be so interesting. F-Zero Arranged and Rockman X (Alpha Lyra) are right on par with them. The drama part of Gradius 3 is pretty interesting too.

If you going to consider Parodius, there's four other Parodius music albums:
-Gokujyo Parodius
-Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius (aka Chatting Parodius)
-Sexy Parodius
-Parodius Perferct Selection

There's also some weird drama CD....but it sucks.
