I just picked up Super Metroid, at last. Dang, what a great album! I can't believe I waited so long to get it. Some of the tunes send chills down my spine they're so good. And having the original 8-bit game's soundtrack on there is a very nice bonus. Great stuff!

Hmm, really? Why were you so surprised, as if you haven't heard the songs before? Are there different versions or something? I wouldn't imagine it to be that great compared to some of the soundtracks we have out today, but I do know that Super Metroid is one of the better oldies. However, I would like to get the Metriod Prime one.

There are indeed some nice arranged tracks, but I haven't played the game so the whole score was new to me. I've played Prime though, and the music hasn't grabbed me...yet.

You can exactly remember the setting the music was supposed to go with if you played, Ian. I recommend getting an Emu plus Rom now!

*GASP!* But...but Rince...I don't own the game! That would be...illegal! Heh heh...I'll go do it right now ;)

Oh yes. I think music is better when you h ave played the game, and besides the fact that Super Metriod is a totally r0x0r game that everybody should play. How do you like the Norfair Depths song on the OST, or whatever it's called? It's my favorite.

That's probably one of the poorest made VGM cds. If I'm not mistaken, it's got a bunch of stuff wrong with it. I think it's mono, the songs aren't faded, they don't loop? Not sure on the details, but it's pretty crappy.
Very very very poor quality, but hey, it's all worth if if you like the music, nothing wrong with that. I <3 my copy of the Rockman cd, even though it's pretty low quality music and has that hum thing in the background.

Hmm...that's strange. My disc seems to have fades on the tracks that warrant them, and only two tracks are flagged "mono". Maybe you heard about a different disc?

Can't say for sure Seph, because I only own the arranges. The OST was never that much worthy to me to get. I was however of the opinion that a few samples I had were Stereo and faded. Maybe a bad rip? The arranges are very gorgeous however, very well done.

Like I said, I'm not sure, but I've heard a lot of people say there's some serious flaw with the cd that warrants not paying money for it. O_o I'm sure Eriol would know.

That would seem kind of sloppy if all of those things were wrong with it, I mean how hard is it to make an accurate rip of the music? Besides, they should have the music ready before the game comes out anyway, so they shouldn't have to "rip" it. I mean if it really is that bad, I could just do a little converting with the spcs and make a better soundtrack. Maybe they had the problem at first, but fixed it due to complaints?
How much did that end up costing you Ian?

*Ahem*...so, would you look at the time? I gotta get to work!
Okay, I'll 'fess up. I blew a couple hundred dead presidents on it. But hey, a single guy has to waste his money on something when there's no woman around to funnel away his income. Am I right? Damn skippy!
