What songs would you add, that are VGM arrangements, to create that perfect CD? Would it be from a specific series? Would it be from various RPG's or other games? Specific composers?

Well, I think that you'd have to have a specific goal in mind when picking the songs to place in the arrangement. For example, if the purpose of the CD is to introduce VGM to a friend or relative, you would consider their personality and interests, along with their musical background and tastes, and choose the menu accordingly.

I already have mine ;)
It's consisting largely from
Valkyrie Profile AST, Motoi Sakuraby Force of Light Songs, a few from Phantasy Star Collection 1 & 2, and the 2 Sorcerian Megamixes Number 1 & 2.

SS - I agree
Rince - Is it just one CD?
Here is one I made for my Dad. He never did like VGM really but I got some remixes together for him while he does his studying, bills and what not. Here is the track list. To me, this makes a perfect relaxing VGM CD.
Dale North - Dale of The Wind (Valley of The Wind)
M. Huang - Breezy Instrumental (Final Fantasy 8)
MV Hellven - La Ballade de Cyan (Final Fantasy 6)
Nobuo Uematsu - The Successor (Final Fantasy 8)
Vampire Hunter Dan - Priphea In Bloom (Lufia)
Klutz - Peaceful Days (Chrono Trigger)
SonicBlade - Tears of The Fallen (Chrono Trigger)
McVaffe - Back to Town (Final Fantasy 6)
Dale North - Northern Beach of Ganbo (Grandia)
Nobuo Uematsu - Tororian Beauty (Final Fantasy 4)
Starblaze - Portrait of Terra (Final Fantasy 6)
Vampire Hunter Dan - Parting Is...(Lufia)
Psychrophyte - Abyss of Zebes (Metroid)
Shoryuken - Tranquility (Dragon's Quest 5)
Dale North - Moonlight Night Together (Suikoden)
Konami - Track 09 (Konami Piano Collections)
McVaffe - Ivory Reflections (Xenogears)
Matt Stofferahn - Rydia (Final Fantasy 4)
Nobuo Uematsu - Revival of A Kind Experience (Phantasmagoria)

Yes, just one, it's barely under 80 Minutes actually (I think 79:50)... I'll get you the exact Tracklist if I get to work - it's saved there. I introduced several unwitting people to VGM via different approaches. Yasunori Mitsudas arranges help immensely, or some Symphonic Suites for more conservative listeners. Also, Bjorn Lynne is a secret tip for uncrackable ambient or pop nuts.

I'll have to check Bjorn Lynne out, then. I've got plenty of those uncrackables around.
I've never thought of compiling an arranged CD. It would be impossible for me, however, to pick so few tracks out of so many. Maybe if there was a topic (composer, genre, etc) I would be able to.

Hey, where's your GFF Avatar? Post more here, damnit. We need decent persons around, and you seem too decent for GFF ;)

Heh...thanks for the compliments. I would post here more often, but it's just too darn quiet for my liking :). Sure, the quality of posts is better here, but I'm superficial ;).
As for the GFF avatar, it's built into GFF, so I'm too lazy to set it up for use elsewhere.

Call me a GFF fanboy again, and face the consequences ;).
Call me lazy all you want, however - it's truthful :).
Hrm.. it'd have to contain at least one track from Uncharted Waters 2, and at least one track from one of the KOF ASTs.
Perhaps something from the Terranigma Arranged album, something from the Rockman X one, and something from the Phantasy Star Arranged albums.
