Has anyone here heard this excellent orchestral OST? It's composed by Hiroshi Tamawari, who's also knows as TAPPY, and has some of the best orchestral VGM I've ever heard. It's just as good as FFT for me, and has some very riveting battle themes that do an excellent job of conveying a war in a medieval/feudal world.
What's your opinion on the VH2 OST?

I love it. I bought the OST for Vandal Hearts and Vandal Hearts 2. Both have great orchestral synth music, and some really upbeat battle themes. I really liked Vandal Hearts as a game, and 2 had a really unique strategic battle system, but unfortunately got bad reviews.
Where did you hear that TAPPY is Hiroshi Tamawari?

I heard it from Tension on GFF.
I'm planning on buying the VH2 OST soon.

OK. Sorry about the confusion then.
So, what were some of your favorite songs on the album.
I found the "A Massacre", "Warfare on a Forest", "Madness People", "A Crisis", "The East Area", "Warfare on a Water's Edge", "The Two Trains Travel Side By Side", and the twelve minute "Epilogue" really cool.
Next to the Tales of Destiny sound test rip I've found it's one of my favorite albums, and certainly one I plan to buy to support its excellent composer.

Overture, the three songs based on themes from Vandal Hearts 1, to name a couple.

Tappy is Tappi Iwase.
Vanfal Hearts 2's battle musics are very good, but I think that I like FFT's more solemn style more. Other than most of the battle musics and some other tracks like Overture and Trade City, VH2's music is rather bland. Still, I'd love to hear a new soundtrack from Hiroshi Tamawari.
