They arrived. 8-bit music. Loops twice before fading out.
No extra tracks, except the MM6 opening. Booklet is in color and has some Megaman art. No other frills like stickers.

CD labelside has monocolored NES sprite art.

Cool. I remember most of them having pretty good music from the ones I played (Rockman 3, 5, & 6.) Where'd you get them?

Have your Japanese friend read the site. There should be an announcement.
The one I got was from the Tokyo Game Show two weeks ago. Coco on ebay is selling extras.

Ooh, a Rockman DVD?

Is the music quality same as those on NES platform, or that of the PSX version of Rockman 1-6 released in Japan?

Eriol: you have the actual CDs Right? Well i need to ask you of a request if you read this message. if you have a scanner or digital camra id really apreciate that you take pictures of the following for me.

The Front and Back CD Cover.
The Inside CD Jacket without the CD inside.
The CD itself
all the pages with the booklet.

I know this is a super ultra big favor to ask after the fact you have no idea who i am but the reason i ask for this favor is because of the following

I was planing on getting the text from the album translated from my friend heatman or see if hes up to doing this. i need to find out all the information in that manual but so far the people that do have this album tell me to go buy it myself and find out which well i cant do that because im not hooked up with a japanese friend or adress to even attempt to buy it. id buy it in 2 seconds if i could. i figure if i can just see the booklet i can atleast get a idea on a few mystery questions iv been wondering for a while now.

well hopefully you can do that for me it would mean so much.

thanks in advance.

I will not open up the CD case to get the CD jackets. I'll see about scanning tracklists from the booklet.

If you want to try to get the album, you can email Jerold. He goes by "m-2" on ebay. For a small surcharge, he probably can get the album by having his connections order from Capcom's Japanese website. Expect to pay $60-$70.

well one i said open the case up i mean to just remove the CD and just scan the picture with the jewl case still attached. not actualy remove the jewl caseing and takeing the picture out. if you could scan the interviews if there are interviews and mainly text refrence of credited names of people who were involved in this projected that would be apreciated alot. il take the pictures to off it as well if you wouldnt mind and all. as for the track listings i have the names of the tracks i basicly need to have the names of people who were given credit in the booklet and interviews that may have been written in.

and thanks for that tip il see to trying ebay i think my friend may have a ebay account. just a question does he reserve orders if i bid?

i think thats all for now.

PS.

il be putting up my rockman album collection text file eventually once i finish typing up my revised list. depending on how long it takes to type it all up il probably attach it up in this topic one i finish it so you can get a idea on what im working on and then understand why id go so far to ask for simple things like text from a booklet.

peace

Let me see what I can do over the next few nights.
Jerold routinely auctions rare and OOP albums under the ebay name m-2.

BESIDES the ebay auctions, Jerold also does specific searches, mostly getting stuff off Yahoo Japan. I've dealt with him before with no problems. You just have to be able to pay a little extra since he and his contacts are going through all the labor of getting it.

I wouldn't try bidding on one of his auctions, since you'd have to compete with all the other bidders. Just ask him about his retrieval service, and he can give you a quote.

thanks for some more information. the money is basicly not hte problem if im paying a few extra bucks if i have the money gathered up then i dont mind and besides i understand how that can be to have people look for a million things. it takes forever and some skills. what is the retrieval service? im not quite sure what that is. well since were on the topic do you know if he can find any of the rare original rockman famicom games with box and booklet and well all the stuff as if it was never oppend? im thinking of starting a game collection of all the original stuff i can find. well il figure it all out latter on one i check this out some time in the future.

Ok, here is the deal. Much of the used/new/rare/OOP VGM albums you see on ebay is only a FRACTION of what is being sold and bought in Japan, most notably, on Yahoo Auctions JP. The problems are

1) Japanese language is incomprehensible for most of us. So, how do you register for YJ, let alone trying to read the auction description?

2) Most sellers on YJ will not ship their items internationally. You might be able to politely ask them, but between your attempt to write easy-to-understand English and the seller's ability to understand any English, this could go nowhere.

Therefore, Jerold and his contacts' purpose is to make bids on YJ for you. Jerold has Japanese contacts who can bid on YJ and get the item shipped locally in Japan and then re-shipped to the actual buyer. It is THIS labor that is the fees Jerold charges.

That is what I call a retrieval service. He retrieves items on your behalf for cost of item + fee + shipping costs.

Jerold generally deals with music albums. I've rarely see him sell anything else other than albums on ebay. There are plenty of people on ebay that sell Japanese games, so you might want to do a search for "Rockman Famicom" and see what comes up.

Don't bet on finding anything UNOPENED! Sorry, but with the age of some of these products, finding something still unopened is very rare. And if it is UNOPENED, expect to pay a lot!!! If the game originally was $40, the unopened game might go for $200 now. Therefore, settle for used games, not unopened ones.

thats makes sence i figured that much. i have seen some of the games unopend before for famicom but didnt have a chance to bid. they were rather cheep to one isaw the price. il just have to buy up alot of stuff all at once as well as try out what you just gave me info on.

that really helped me out thanks again.

Fooey...I contacted Jerold re: Rockman, and it seems Capcom's sold out already. :( I thought it didn't go on sale at their website until 10/30? Damn...I would've had my Japanese friend buy it the day it was out. Jerold says we have to hope for a second pressing. *weep*

Wait, that doesn't make sense. It is supposed to go on sale 10/30. Did Capcom allow pre-orders?

NES score only. Although Lentium has remarked that through some sound analysis, there is a a REALLY high frequency "something" in some of the music. The frequency is about 15kHz, the frequency of some TVs. So, if you have very sensitive hearing, this could bother you.
